If you work with teens or young adults in crisis, you’ve probably seen it: overwhelmed, isolated, and exhausted parents trying to hold everything together. You treat the young person, but the system rarely offers structured support for the parents and caregivers at home. That’s where Changes Parent Support Network helps bridge the gap. We’re a nonprofit peer-support network run by and for parents of struggling youth. Our members are navigating everything from school refusal to suicidal ideation, from substance use to serious mental illness. They come to us because they feel alone—but stay because they find tools, perspective, and a community that gets it. We meet weekly over Zoom in peer-led, facilitated groups. It’s not therapy. It’s not advice. It’s structured, compassionate support rooted in accountability, boundary-setting, and shared experience. As Laurie Riepe, MA LMHC, shared: “In my work as a psychotherapist, I rarely find parenting resources like CHANGES. The program is structured, accessible, and offers parents a way to manage very difficult situations. I cannot speak highly enough about the program.”
