IATA is an international trade organization, created over 80 years ago by a group of airlines. IATA (International Air Transport Association) represents some 360 airlines comprising over 80% of global air traffic. The organization also represents, leads and serves the airline industry in general. IATA's Director General is Willie Walsh.

Established in 1964, UN Trade and Development (UNCTAD) promotes the development-friendly integration of developing countries into the world economy. UNCTAD has progressively evolved into an authoritative knowledge-based institution whose work aims to help shape current policy debates and thinking on development, with a particular focus on ensuring that domestic policies and international action are mutually supportive in bringing about sustainable development.

IMO is the United Nations' specialized agency responsible for safety and security of shipping and the prevention of marine pollution by ships. With 176 Member States and three Associate Members, IMO is based in London with around 300 international staff. As a specialized agency of the United Nations, IMO is the global standard-setting authority for the safety, security and environmental performance of international shipping. Its main role is to create a regulatory framework for the shipping industry that is fair and effective, universally adopted and universally implemented. IMO's work supports the UN's Sustainable Development Goals.
