Certizen Limited Information

Postmaster General is a recognized public Certification Authority (CA) under the Electronic Transactions Ordinance (Cap. 553) (ETO) in Hong Kong. Currently common web browsers such as Microsoft Internet Explorer, Apple Safari and Mozilla Firefox have already built-in Hongkong Post Certification Authority (HKPCA) root certificate making HKPCA the most recognized public CA in Asia. Certizen Limited (“Certizen”) has been authorized to operate the Hongkong Post CA e-Cert services for six years from 1 April 2012 to 31 March 2018. It is Certizen’s mission to conduct HKPCA operations and enhance e-Cert services in full compliance with the statutory requirements of HKSAR Government. In addition, Certizen also aims at collaborating with its partners to promote the portability and user-friendliness of e-Cert so as to enable businesses and individuals to conduct e-government and e-commerce transactions in a simple, secure and reliable manner. Certizen will continue driving e-Cert to a higher level and be one of the most recognized and trusted certificates around the world.
