Over 20 million trees are cut down each year to produce single-use paper cups. Turning trees into paper and paper into usable cups requires a considerable amount of energy input—the source of which is almost exclusively fossil fuels. Most paper cups aren’t even biodegradable because they are lined with a petroleum-based polyethylene (PE) coating. Not to mention the plastic lids, stirrers, and straws. It’s a growing environmental problem that deserves attention. CERAMICUPS is bringing the reusable movement to Mexico. Together, we can say goodbye to single-use takeaway cups forever!
