Eastman Immigrant Services (EIS) assists newcomers settling in the Eastman region, making the transition to a new community a positive experience, both for the newcomer and the receiving community. We empower newcomers and create welcoming communities where everyone is valued. EIS is funded by the Governments of Canada and Manitoba, and has been supporting newcomers and immigrants in Southern Manitoba for 20 years. In addition to working with newcomers, EIS is invested in working together with community partners to support welcoming newcomers to Eastern Manitoba.

Ethiopiaid Canada is a charitable international development organization committed to empowering people in Ethiopia to live healthy and productive lives. We seek lasting change by supporting interventions driven by local partners. At the core of our work is a desire to reduce poverty and improve the lives of those living in poverty by increasing opportunities and resources. Our programming focuses on increasing access to quality maternal health services, reducing barriers to education, and supporting women’s and girls’ empowerment. Ethiopiaid was founded by Sir Alec Reed in the UK in 1989. There are now Ethiopiaid offices in Canada, England, Australia and Ireland.
