Centrum Associates is a boutique consulting firm which is small, skilled and highly specialized. Our practice blends conflict management and dispute resolution services with organizational development initiatives such as coaching, assessment and team building. We help leaders become more centered and balanced, develop teams to be more focused and productive and drive organizations to become conflict competent. We also offer private mediation services to help parties resolve employment and workplace conflict, family business discord, and quarrels that arise in personal relationships. Centrum is derived from the Latin word which translates to "center" or "focus". We utilize the concept of balance as a metaphor for success. This metaphor links our practice areas. Leaders and teams that are balanced and versatile in their style and skills are more effective. Parties in conflict who can successfully balance their needs and interests with those of the other side are more likely to resolve their disputes. While conflict is a reality in every workplace, it can be managed more constructively so that disputes are resolved through early intervention. Many of these disagreements result from poor communication, misunderstandings, unclear expectations and ineffective first level management. Jeff uses facilitative skills to mediate these employee disputes before they escalate and become costly in terms of lost productivity or outside legal expenses. In the event that a workplace dispute rises to the level of employment/EEO litigation, Jeff utilizes his broad and deep HR experience and background with the EEOC to help both parties understand the risks and opportunities associated with the case. He is an expert in managing the mediation process, while simultaneously maintaining laser focus on settlement.
