Centre[4]Arts, previously known as Centre[3], is an artist-run Centre in Hamilton, Ontario. Our work is organized around four interconnected streams: C1 — Artists Supporting artists in creating, producing, exhibiting, experimenting and developing their practices. C2 — Community Building partnerships and creating opportunities for communities to participate in and experience contemporary art. C3 — Education Using creativity, art-making and skills development to build confidence, interpersonal skills, pathways to education and meaningful employment. Digital Pipeline and NUSTEEL are important parts of this work. C4 — Research Exploring accessibility, technology, artistic research and new approaches to creating and experiencing art—including our work with haptic, tactile and digital technologies. Centre[4]Arts is a disability-led organization advancing contemporary art through accessible, inclusive, and artist-centered practices. We connect artists and communities by embedding lived experience, accessibility, and innovation into the creation, presentation, and distribution of contemporary art.gh social practice, encouraging experimentation and collaboration through contemporary art.
