Centre of Excellence in Advanced Automotive Research (CAAR) Information

Centre of Excellence in Advanced Automotive Research (CAAR) is a unique centre set up with a vision to provide the necessary expertise to the Automotive Sector to retain its competitive edge. We aim to provide cost-effective and relevant R&D solutions in automotive technologies through international collaborative research and development. Our international partners are Fraunhofer Society of Germany and Warwick Manufacturing Group of U.K. IIT Madras research scholars interested in working with CAAR, are encouraged to take up research in the specified areas given in the 'specialties' section below, under the guidance of the faculty.
