The Center for Vietnamese and Southeast Asian Studies (CVSEAS) , which was established based on the Decision No. 328/ TCCB on March 14, 1990 by the Ministry of Education and Training (MOET) and was granted the Certificate of Scientific and Technological Activities Registration No. 014 by the Ministry of Science, Technology and Environment on March 15, 1993. The center is a self-supporting institution. It has legal rights as well as its own stamp and account. Its function is doing research on Vietnam\'s culture and economy in Southeast Asian context as well as historical, economical, political, cultural, linguistic and diplomatic issues of Vietnam and other Southeast Asian countries. It is also responsible for training researchers. Through researching, the Center for Vietnamese and Southeast Asian Studies is also trying to increase its operational effectiveness by cooperation as well as social and cultural exchanges with domestic and foreign institutes, which can be within or outside the University of Social Sciences and Humanities. In addition, the center always welcomes both scientists and researchers to carry out research in any aspects and try to support them to get the fruitful cooperation.
