CelluComp is a new and dynamic material science company based in Scotland that is at the forefront of developing high-tech products from sustainable sources. At CelluComp we believe there are better and more sustainable options to materials compared to some of the chemically-based or petroleum-based materials that are used today, which is why our vision is to promote Material Change for Good. Our principle activity is to develop and commercialize Curran®, our material developed from the extraction of nano cellulose fibers of root vegetables, such as carrots and sugar beets. Curran® offers exceptional mechanical properties (stiffness, strength and light weight) compared to other fiber reinforcements at an affordable price. With our production partner and our customers, we are developing products for both the composite and paints and coatings industries. Curran® has the capability to enhance products in sporting goods, construction, paints & coatings, cosmetics, automobile, marine and many other potential applications.
