The Center of Excellence in High Reliability Organizations and Processes (CEHROP) at Texas Tech University seeks to develop multidisciplinary research, provide public education, and consult with industry on the management of risk and operational safety. As systems grow in complexity, it becomes increasingly difficult to effectively manage all the parts such that their interaction will not lead to a major safety event. CEHROP draws upon well established theories in the field of safety (HRO, NAT, Cynevin, CRM, TeamStepps, BBS, HOP, etc.) to design programs with industry/healthcare that effectively address these issues.
