Cegot Information

The management structure is organized into four bodies: the Coordination represented by Teresa Sá Marques; the Executive Board composed of five members representing the other universities and the centre's three research groups (António Vieira, Rui Gama, Lúcio Cunha, José Rio Fernandes e Norberto Santo); the Scientific Board composed of all the centre's PhD holders; and the Assembly comprising all members. The centre also counts on the consultancy of international researchers, forming the Permanent Counselling Commission, whose current members are Augusto Perez Alberti (University of Santiago de Compostela - Spain), Márcio Morais Valença (Federal University of Rio Grande do Norte - Brazil), Edward Soja (UCLA - USA), Nicos Komminos (Aristotle University of Thessaloniki - Greece) and Mark Vetter (Humboldt University of Munich - Germany). CEGOT edits the semestral journal GOT - Geografia e Ordenamento do Território and organizes every year the CEGOT International Meeting, which has as main theme for 2013 Geography & Politics, Policies and Planning.
