We are passionate about developing creative solutions that balance vision with economic impacts. Associated with Civic Webware, we also develop web-based tools to help communities and consultants communicate more effectively with the constituents they serve. Ce Planning Studio can add value to your project by reviewing development plans, facilitating small and large public engagement sessions, writing plans and codes, and designing high quality spaces that improve our environments. Owner, Carolyn Esswein's work has earned her numerous state and regional planning awards, including the WCREW Spire Award.Prior to founding Ce Planning Studio, llc, Carolyn gained 20 years of experience working with over 30 communities and private sector clients throughout the Midwest. With a background in urban design, planning, and architecture, she brings a broad, yet detailed, perspective to a variety of project scales. Her expertise includes redevelopment, community engagement, urban design, sustainable urbanism, neighborhood plans, and creating public/private partnerships. Carolyn holds a B.S. from University of Wisconsin-Madison, a Masters in Architecture and a Masters in Urban Planning from University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. Carolyn is certified with the American Institute of Certified Planners (AICP) and the Congress for New Urbanism (CNU-A). In addition to her professional practice, Carolyn is a Professor of Practice at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee and is Director of Community Design Solutions at the School of Architecture and Urban Planning, UWM. Carolyn was previously a Principal and part owner with Planning & Design Institute, Inc. and an Associate with GRAEF. MMSD Small Business Enterprise Certification
