We say our story started in 1992, but in actuality, the dream began long before that. Our founder, Keith Loiselle, was employed with a mobile imaging company in the 80s; it was there he would receive regular phone calls requesting mobile CT services, which the company at the time did not provide. It became a topic of discussion among the companys executives to offer a service that was rare and came with considerable caveats, and as such, it never came to be. But Keith never stopped getting those phone calls about mobile CT in fact, they increased over time. Tired of telling people he couldnt help them, he decided to take matters into his own hands, and in 1992 Keith founded CDL Medical Technologies. It was a difficult time to start a business while having a family with three small children and without a steady income, but Keith had the unwavering support of his wife, Carol. He would never forget her selfless love and care and would name the company by using her initials as a nod to the faith she had in him. Being ever-curious about what his best friend since the ninth grade was up to, Dave entered the picture. Dave, who worked pro bono evenings alongside Keith at his tiny office in Wexford, PA, would pitch in to help after working all day at his own full-time job. Sharing not only an office but also a desk, they would work late into the night, building the company from scratch to achieve the vision. Keith set out to establish a mobile imaging company that would not only offer mobile CT, but would provide every type of imaging service available to hospitals, clinics, and physician offices nationwide. It was ambitious, but Keiths experience with mobile imaging told him that a considerable demand for imaging specialists was going unanswered and there was not enough experience and innovation to fill the market gap.
