The Centre for the Development of Enterprise (CDE) is a joint institution of the ACP Group of States (Africa, Caribbean and Pacific) and the European Union (EU) in the framework of the Cotonou agreement. It supports the implementation of private-sector development strategies in the ACP countries and regions by providing non-financial services. The CDE aims at enhancing the competitiveness of ACP enterprises and facilitating their access to markets and finance. It also strengthens the capacities of local service providers and promotes ACP-EU business partnerships, as well as investment. The CDE has its headquarters in Brussels, Belgium, and six regional offices: four in Africa (Gaborone, Botswana, for Southern Africa; Yaounde, Cameroon, for Central Africa; Nairobi, Kenya, for Eastern Africa; Dakar, Senegal, for Western Africa), one in the Caribbean (Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic) and one in the Pacific (Suva, Fiji).
