CCHIT is a nonprofit with a public mission of accelerating the adoption of robust, interoperable health IT. Beginning in January 2014, we determined our mission would be best served by withdrawing from testing and certification and offering our talents in new ways. In June 2014, CCHIT launched CCHIT Guide Services for the ONC HIT Certification Program - a series of individualized programs to help health IT developers meet the requirements for ONC-certified EHR technology. Future plans include the addition of other services for vendors and providers that will remain close to the trenches, offering educational resources and practical, hands-on help that our customers lack within their own organizations. Since 2005, CCHIT has been the leader in health IT certification, working with more than 400 vendors and 1400 health IT products, to help healthcare providers understand the capabilities of the products they are purchasing.
