CAWS CENARTH CHEESE LIMITED Information

Beautiful Welsh Artisan Cheese. Cheese making began in the family in 1903 with Carwyn Adams' Great, Great, Grandmother's Lizzie Wyn and Leisa Jones started making cheese for the family and to sell at the local market. The tradition stayed in the family until 1987 when Gwynfor and Thelma Adams (Carwyn's parents) rekindled the family tradition in response to milk quotas, and Caws Cenarth Cheese was born! The cheese are crafted on their farm, in Glyneithinog, in the lovely and lush valley of the river Cych in West Wales with fresh organic milk sourced from local farms. Caws Cenarth cheeses are multi-award winning. We are also the proud producers of Thelma's Original Welsh Caerffili which has the coveted PGI status.
