CATIM Information

CATIM is a nonprofit private institution of public utility, created in 1986, as an interest association by industrial companies and respective associations with public organisms, with the mission “To contribute for the innovation and competitiveness of the metalworking national industries and similar.” The CATIM’s areas of intervention are numerous and have Technological and technical cooperation dinamization; participation in initiatives and partnerships industrially guided, public and private ; Participation in sectorial studies and diagnostics, studies of Benchmarking ; Participation in inquiry and development projects. *CATIM has managed to perform a great impact on the Portuguese metalworking industrial sector which could be illustrated by the fact that CATIM grew in such way that today CATIM has about 615 company associates and more than 2500 clients; *CATIM has a very advanced and agile management policy and practice, informed by the advanced organizational and management paradigms, that provided its continuous and true organizational sustainability, which is to notify, especially considering today’s worldwide financial and economic crisis;
