All non-domestic food serving premises in N.Ireland are prohibited from depositing food waste down the drains The Food Waste Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2015 introduced the article regarding food waste disposal into public drains and the separate collection thereof on 1st April 2017. Organic waste food and fats decompose and emit greenhouse gases (GHG) and the corresponding standards state that maintenance should be completed once a month.
