Water decontamination technology for water re-use and recycling applications together with industrial waste-water treatment across a wide range of sectors using photocatalysis to destroy a wide spectrum of organic contaminants in water. Unlike conventional filters or membranes, which concentrate contaminants for disposal and additional treatment later, photocatalysis efficiently destroys organics the first time, leaving only water, and a small amount of carbon dioxide and inert minerals. Organic toxins, surfactants, pesiticides, BTEX, dyes, bacteria and a spectrum of other contaminants are effectively reduced or removed to stringent limits.
