OUR STORY The story of Catalyst Ventures unfolded in 2016 when Alex and Jeffrey connected over the passion for venture building and funding the future of travel and marketing. As an investment banker turned serial entrepreneur, startup mentor and hotelier, Alex has always been deeply fascinated by new technologies and tightly knit with the startup ecosystem. With his degree in Computer Science and knowledge in Structured Finance, he was joined by Jeffrey, a seasoned angel investor and a digital marketing whiz. The two decided to start a structured venture to invest in the verticals they know and love. INVESTMENT PHILOSOPHY We invest in go-getters and hustlers - teams formed by vertical experts with an outstanding idea AND exceptional execution capabilities. We are highly selective when it comes to writing our cheques - but when we do, we roll up our sleeves and get down and dirty with the founders. From advice on strategy, to making investor and client intros. We become a part of the team.
