Casey Larae is a fine art and editorial photographer who investigates human behavior, social norms and traditions but she also likes exploring the entertainment within common everyday situations. Within this context, she excavates humor through subtleties and nuances. Larae has exhibited her work in the Greater Los Angeles area, Donostia / San Sebastián (Basque Country) Spain and on internet platforms. Larae finds inspiration in the natural world during her travels and has an anthropological approach to her photos of people, festivals and other aspects of culture. She has several on-going photographic series; following artists as they work, documenting vacant lifeguard towers and capturing random hearts found in nature and in the streets -using these symbols to explore intentional expressions and the omnipresence of love. Larae’s greatest achievement has been in constructing a lifestyle that has allowed her to spend the majority of her time investigating wonder and creativity.
