Casa Hoffmann Information

Casa Hoffmann is an exhibition and research space located in Bogotá, dedicated to the production, exhibition and divulgation of contemporary art projects commissioned to curators and researchers. It focuses on exploring the intersections among contemporary art, science and technology; thus, it seeks to foster a network between local and international artists based upon transversality as a conceptual framework for the dialogue of different proposals that delve into these fields. Artists represented by Casa Hoffmann place a special emphasis on exploring new media, expanding the limits of creation through science and technology, and using artistic creation as a means to address contemporary issues. Consequently, their artworks integrate a diverse and ever-growing set of techniques, materials, and research topics, providing singular aesthetic and conceptual proposals and contributing to the evolution of the Colombian contemporary art scene. Throughout its ample trajectory Casa Hoffmann has carried out numerous exhibitions, among which it’s possible to highlight "ARTIFACTS" (2021), curated by Barbara Krulik and Mildred Durán; "PRIMITIVO" (2019), curated by Asher Remy-Toledo; "CIBER ERA" (2018 - 2021), directed by Andrés Moreno Hoffmann and exhibited at the International Art Fair of Bogotá | ARTBO, the Art Museum of Pereira and the Contemporary Art Museum of Bogotá; "LUJURIA" (2019), curated by Carolina Ponce de León; and "Strata: Rocas, Polvo, Estrellas" (2018), exhibited both at Casa Hoffmann and at the Museum of Contemporary Art of Panama, and co-curated by Mike Stubbs, Asher Remy-Toledo and Andrés Moreno Hoffmann.
