Carr's Steakhouse Information

Carr's Steakhouse opened in February 2011 in the historic W.E. Shelton Building in downtown Mayfield, KY. The W.E. Shelton sold Studebaker & Fish Brothers wagons from the building from the late 1800's into the early 1900's. Today we serve up steaks, burgers, barbeque, sandwiches, pastas, salads, & more at our award-winning restaurant. Carr's Steakhouse has a large dining room with two separate sides, an excellent bar area, with high top tables and a long bar with seating, and a private dining room for private dinners and events that seats up to 50 guests. We are putting the finishing touches on our patio area that will allow for outdoor dining for up to 60 guests. Our family has been serving the community in our restaurants since the 1950's when Wayne Sr. & Ozell Carr opened the Carr's Barn Cafe across the street. We love being a part of this community, and strive to make an impact in it every day. Our walls are adorned with vintage pictures of the community, giving guests a little peek into the town's history. When we began making room for our patio we discovered "ghost signs" on our West exterior wall, old murals advertising Coca-Cola, Studebaker & Fish Brothers Wagons, & Bull Durham Smoking Tobacco; treasures hidden for many decades. Our restaurant is working to make our community special each day. Join us for one of our special events like our Monthly Wine & Craft Beer Dinners, Seasonal Distillers Dinners, nights of live entertainment, or community fundraising events. Community impact is at the core of our family and business. Carr's Steakhouse is a 4-Time State Winner of the Kentucky Restaurant Association's Restaurant Neighbor Award, and was also selected as the National Restaurant Association's Restaurant Neighbor Award Winner in 2016 out of all independent restaurants. We have enjoyed serving guests and growing this last decade, and look forward to big things in the months and years to come. We look forward to serving you soon.
