The story of Scholex began back in the 70’s with our founder’s sincere desire to make bags locally, along with the dream to build something big in India. The two things he firmly believed in were versatility and quality. These beliefs led to the birth of ‘Duggal Bag Factory’ in 1976, with just four employees, in the backyard of a Delhi high school. Together they manufactured high-quality and reliable products, which would fulfil the needs of people from all walks of life. The faith in their values and their vivacious passion led them to become experts in the field of manufacturing bags. Our founder’s journey which began decades ago has since transformed ‘Duggal bag factory’ into Scholex, which is now a well-known brand in the market. Today, his legacy is being taken forward by his son, who like his father, is an ardent supporter of the now famous ‘Make In India’ campaign.
