Carousel is a Research and Innovation project ambitionning at the creation of AI-driven characters who will be able to interact autonomously with a single person or a group of people in a meaningful way. Our aim is to allow people to feel and dance with each other even if they are physically not in the same space! People scattered around in the world will have fun moving their bodies and enjoy physical and social contact. By introducing real-world sensations and feelings in online communication our project contributes to reducing the distressing feelings of loneliness and isolation. This project has received funding from the European Union’s Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme under grant agreement No 101017779.
