Carolina Coaster Company coasters are made from original photographs of local points of interest to Charleston, SC and the surrounding Lowcountry area. Each coaster is hand-made with great care, and is truly a unique work of art. The photographs are adhered to the tumbled marble tile with a high-quality medium. Then the magic begins! A special process is used to make the photograph look as though it melts into the marble, giving it an aged, antique look. Next the tiles are given a hand-brushed, multi-layer coating of sealer. Finally, we add a 3-inch square of cork to protect your furniture. Your memories will last a lifetime with Carolina Coasters where, "The drinks are on us!"
