Carmichael Engineering, Inc., was formed in 1997, by J. Stephen Carmichael, P.E. to provide geotechnical, environmental and construction monitoring and testing services. Our main office and laboratory is located in Montgomery, Alabama and we have branch offices and laboratories in Auburn and Midland City, Alabama. Our firm has experienced steady growth since its inception. Our experienced technical staff is dedicated to providing quality services and their knowledge in their fields of service is unsurpassed. Carmichael Engineering has completed thousands of geotechnical investigations throughout the southeast and is very familiar with the regional soil and rock conditions. Our range of service for construction monitoring and testing projects has varied from small residential projects to large industrial facilities. Our environmental professionals have completed Phase I Environmental Site Assessments on thousands of acres of property throughout the southeast. We typically provide services for both private and public entities and often work directly for owners, developers, architects, engineers, contractors, municipalities, and county and state governments.
