Production equipment doesn’t always need to be replaced. Sometimes it needs to be rebuilt, redesigned or replicated. That’s where Carmel Engineering comes in. We are a Central Indiana engineering and manufacturing company specializing in the equipment and components that keep production running. Our work includes: Equipment Rebuilds & Refurbishment: Restore aging production equipment, improve reliability and extend useful service life. Replacement & Obsolete Parts: When an OEM no longer makes the part—or the part is difficult to source—we can reverse-engineer and manufacture it. Reverse Engineering: We can take an existing component or machine, understand how it works, document it and build a replacement or improved version. Custom Process & Manufacturing Equipment: When an off-the-shelf machine doesn’t fit the application, we design and manufacture equipment around the customer’s actual requirements. Scraped-Surface Heat Exchangers: New equipment, replacement tubes, shafts, scraper blades, seals, repairs, refurbishment and performance improvements. Machining & Fabrication: Custom shafts, blades, components, tooling, welded assemblies and specialty parts. Engineering & Problem Solving: If equipment isn’t producing the way it should, we’ll help identify the problem and develop a practical solution. We have extensive experience in food processing, edible oils, manufacturing and other demanding industrial applications. Our customers don’t always come to us because they want something new. Sometimes they come because: Nobody makes the part anymore. The machine is obsolete. The OEM can’t help. The equipment isn’t performing. Downtime is costing too much.
