Caribbean Collective Magazine is the first digital publication that represents emigrated West Indian Women in the US, Canada, and UK. Caribbean Collective Magazine was founded in 2020 and created by a West Indian woman, for West Indian women. Our goal is to be the premier collective platform for West Indian women that fosters community, dialogue, and storytelling. Our platform serves as representation through highlighting our successes, celebrating West Indian icons, culture, beauty, and fashion. Our Mission We empower and engage with women who identify as West Indian women living with a hyphenated identity. Utilizing the power of storytelling through interviews, features, creative photography, and digital media, we'll present an array of relevant topics. You can expect coverage on trending news, celebration and dialogue on Caribbean art, icons, beauty, music, and lifestyle. Our Story Caribbean Collective was created as a result of the need for celebration and representation of West Indian women and our stories. We found there were few to no publications to represent West Indian Women with hyphenated identities collectively. While there are publications that represent certain cultures within the West Indian hyphenated identity, there are virtually none that represent us collectively. The islands are diverse and yet we are unified by one culture—Caribbean Culture. #caribbeangirlmagic Our Vision Our vision is to serve as the go to platform for West Indian women. We highlight the diversity within our culture while celebrating our West Indian culture collectively as one. Our platform serves as a digital anchor for our West Indian sisters. To our Afro-Caribbean, Indo-Caribbean, Asian-Caribbean, Native-Caribbean, Multi-racial Caribbean sisters and all groups that identify as West Indian, we built this platform to represent your voices and stories!
