CARESHARE streamlines scheduling of social and rehabilitation activities, analyzes participation, schedules one-on-one visits that disrupt loneliness, tracks and analyzes changing behaviors over time, identifies interpersonal relationships and tracks provided care services. CARESHARE allows families to form a more trusting relationship with their loved one's care community that reduces community legal risks and nurtures greater collaborative decision-making in quality of life decisions. The three biggest factors that lead to an “unanticipated withdrawal” of a resident from an Assisted Living community are a perceived lack of adequate quality care, little involvement by a resident in limited available activities, and increased costs for increased care levels when current care levels are not understood by families. The Center for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) has issued Person-Centered Care regulations designed to “Strengthen persons and their families as partners in their care. The result - Persons and families are engaged, informed, empowered partners in care.” Adoption and compliance with these rules impacts Medicare and Medicaid Reimbursement. Full compliance is scheduled for completion by November, 2019.
