CardioSD Information

Cardiology Specialists of Dayton, also known as CardioSD, was formed in 1982 near downtown Dayton to allow closer proximity to area hospitals for our patients that needed procedures and other services we could not provide within our office. As our patient base grew, additional physicians and support staff were added to maintain our hands on quality and service. We relocated our facility in 2004 to 4160 Little York Road in Vandalia, to serve our expanding patient base and allow us to now personally provide a wide range of services at our office for the convenience of our patients and to maintain a more "hands on" direct relationship. The location was chosen for its easy access from both I-70 and I-75 and has ample parking. Our office is at ground level to provide convenient wheelchair accessibility. In 2007 we added another office in Centerville, at 7677 Yankee Street on the campus of Southview Hospital to better serve our patients in the southern Dayton area. Our state of the art facilities have been equipped with the latest technology and specially trained cardiac staff to provide the following procedures: Stress Testing, Nuclear Imaging, Echocardiograms, Vascular Ultrasound, Holter and Event Monitoring. Procedures and testing not completed at our office will be scheduled at an outside facility or hospital of your choice. Currently our physicians are on staff at Grandview Hospital, Southview Hospital, and Kettering Hospital. We ask that you check with your insurance company before scheduling any procedures or testing for any restrictions. We also provide a dedicated Pacemaker/ICD clinic for those patients that have these devices to provide close monitoring by our cardiologists. In addition, patients requiring more frequent follow up for adjusting of medications such as blood thinners, nutrition, smoking cessation or other education and counseling may be directed by their personal cardiologist to be followed up in our nurse clinic which is directly supervised by one of our cardiologists.
