Cardinal Space Mining is a group of students in, but not limited to, the fields of science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) at Iowa State University. The group annually designs and builds a robot to compete in NASA's Lunabotics competition. As a result, the members of Cardinal Space Mining are challenged to create an atmosphere of community and excitement by learning from and teaching each other, welcoming prospective students and community members, and connecting members with faculty, community, and industry partners through projects, activities, and demonstrations.
