CarbonWise Construction Information

CarbonWise Construction is a partnership between Saint Gobain and Storm Property. CarbonWise focuses on low-carbon, sustainable construction. The perfect blend of construction knowledge and Social Housing to create beautiful low-carbon, sustainable homes. On time, on budget, every time. Our latest innovative designs are known for their light and airy feel, and use a vast array of innovative solutions to create space, such as no radiators on the walls to make room for furniture. We utilize as many forms of Modern Methods of Construction “MMC” as possible to deliver high-quality, low-carbon, sustainable finishes throughout. We do this without the extensive overheads of our own factory which makes us a far safer partner than a volumetic MMC provider. This commitment extends beyond their usage by homeowners, encompassing the entire lifecycle, from material production and supply during construction to the eventual end-of-life phase. Our approach revolves around a comprehensive system perspective on Embodied Energy and Whole Life Carbon Emissions, serving as the foundational framework guiding all our endeavors. Our house types and chosen products also ensure the lowest maintenance requirements and lifecycle costs, minimizing your overall spending over the life of the building. Leveraging insights from the acclaimed Energy House 2.0 project at Salford University, CarbonWise are set to construct our flagship home at Tyseley Energy Park, in collaboration with the University of Birmingham and the National Centre for the Decarbonisation of Heat (NCDH). This groundbreaking project is endorsed by a £20 million funding grant secured by the University. CarbonWise has also been picked by UK Construction week as one of Six Start Ups Making Waves in UK Construction.
