capiton AG is an owner-managed private equity investor with a current fund volume of €1.3 billion under management and a strong track record of over 20 years of investing in profitable companies in the DACH Mittelstand We are currently investing out of our sixth fund, which was established in 2020. capiton’s origins go back to the late 1970s. capiton invests in SMEs located mainly in Germany, Austria and Switzerland. We usually invest between €20 and €60 million of our own funds in profitable companies with a turnover of between €50 and €300 million and an strong growth prospects. However, by partnering with co-investors we are also able to realise larger transactions. For us, private equity is more than just money invested. With each investment we take responsibility, for our investors’ money and for the company and its workforce. We invest in different sectors - key sectors are pharmaceuticals, medical and industrial technology and responsible consumption – because we see opportunities in more than just one place.
