CAPIRE is a three-year project financed by the European Erasmus+ fund. It consists of a cooperation between the universities of Twente (NL), Osnabrück (D), Torún (PL), Milano Bicocca (I) and Gustave Eiffel (F). The aim of the project is to develop digital learning tools for intercultural training, so-called Culture Simulators, for the five countries concerned. To build these Culture Simulators, a number of activities need to be carried out, such as choosing the best models, developing a user-friendly digital infrastructure and testing the tool. A large number of interviews will be conducted with expatriates working in each of the five countries involved. The real-life experiences of expats will be rewritten into cases that will be used for the Culture Simulators. When the intercultural training tools are finalised, they will be accessible online for free for students, teachers and professionals. The project is an initiative of the section OBCC (Organisational Behaviour, Change management & Consultancy) department IEBIS, in the faculty BMS (Behavioural, Management and Social sciences) of the University of Twente.
