CAPERS Bookstore Information

CAPERS was established in 1987 as a mail order bookstore and provider of educational events for health professionals. It has been online since shortly afterwards. CAPERS offered up to 60 days of professional education each year for midwives, lactation consultants, GPs, paediatricians, nurses and other health professionals. The final event for CAPERS took place in October 2018. CAPERS sells books in the fields of: pregnancy, childbirth, parenting, breastfeeding, midwifery, grief and loss, women's health, plus texts in associated professions. CAPERS sells teaching resources, children's gifts, jewellery and stationery. We are a specialised store, and provide personalised customer service. CAPERS events were eligible for CPD, and quality conferences with international speakers complement the many other educational workshops and seminars offered over a 30 year period. CAPERS was established by Jan Cornfoot and then passed on to her daughter, Sarah, in 2007. Whilst CAPERS started in Perth, the business was flexible, and moved several times, now based in Maleny, Queensland, as an online store. Jan spent many years in volunteer roles with organisations, local, state, national and international before starting CAPERS.
