CapacityUK Information

CapacityUK is a community based training provider offering high quality functional skills, ESOL and vocational training in community settings in order to enable people from disadvantaged groups to have access to opportunities that would not otherwise be available to them. We specialise in working with those furthest from the labour market and have a particularly strong track record in supporting lone parents and people from migrant communities in achieving accredited qualifications and accessing employment opportunities. CapacityUK is involved in broad a range of European projects, working as both lead organisation and partner within activities funded via the Turing Scheme, Leonardo da Vinci, Grundtvig and Youth in Action programmes, as well as the European Social Fund and European Integration Fund. Through this work, we have developed cultural and linguistic elements to our training, which complement our functional and vocational skills training. We also provide a range of organisational development services, including assistance with centre and qualification accreditation process, fundraising and business development. Where possible we will aim to integrate these two areas of work in order to provide opportunities for our learners to enhance their functional and vocational training with cultural and linguistic development, integration with their local communities and opportunities for foreign travel and work experience.
