Established by Congress in 1965, the National Endowment for the Arts is an independent federal agency that is the largest funder of the arts and arts education in communities nationwide and a catalyst of public and private support for the arts. The Creative Coalition is the premier nonprofit, nonpartisan social and public education organization of the arts and entertainment industry. Founded in 1989 by prominent figures in the creative community, TCC educates leaders in the arts community on issues of public importance, specifically in the areas of First Amendment rights, arts advocacy and public education.
