It’s January 2020. The Canvas Desktop Lamp is a finished, working product. The packaging’s all set. The website’s looking good. But those doubts! Are we really ready to go live and start selling this thing? What if no one buys it? What if everyone laughs at it? At us?! In the end, we’d put in too much work to stay scared. So we pulled on our big kid pants and Stuart launched the website. It’s not like anyone was going to actually buy anything, anyway. But when Stuart checked his inbox, there it was: our first order, sitting at the top of the emails happy as an ice cream sprinkle! We oohed and aahed at this amazing thing. A sale. Then Stuart refreshed the page and another order dropped in! We had about six or seven by the evening. It was wild, seeing Canvas become a reality, one inbox refresh at a time. And now Canvas is a brand—one that helps creators feel the buzz of sharing their passion and daring to build something that truly excites them. Oh, and this isn’t just a brand made for creators. It’s made by creators, too.
