The origin of Cantone Press goes way back to 1970 when Frank Cantone Sr. opened a pre-press shop named Panodot which supplied lithographic plates to the printing industry. Long before computers and other technologies, this trade was a craft that required incredible artistic skill as well as an unparalleled understanding of color and the printing process. To keep up with changing technology, Anthony Cantone morphed Panodot into Contemporary Imaging by investing in the latest desktop technologies, Hi resolution Drum scanners, Film Setter's and of course digital proofing and Direct to Plate systems. During this same period Frank Cantone Jr. opened Progressive Offset, expanding our services to include 40" press work as well as a complete bindery for the perfect finish. We quickly realized that our expertise in printing proved invaluable and our offset division took off! Our next big advancement came with the turn of the century as digital presses were prying their way into the printing industry. We jumped on the trend and Joe Cantone acquired PDQ print and copy. PDQ can take care of all your copy needs and business stationary, but what we are really proud of is our IGEN digital press which offers offset quality, with variable data technology at digital pricing. Today we are three brothers, each with there own area of expertise, providing a large menu of services, at great prices, all under one roof, appropriately call Cantone Press.
