Canlock was formed in 2017, right before Prop 64 took effect in California. At this point, traditional storage options were no longer as useful for the increasing complexities of cannabis. The founders identified this gap between the existing storage solutions and what was needed in the market, giving birth to the stash+ and disrupting the cannabis packaging space as we used to know it.
