Cancerkin Information

Cancerkin's is a breast cancer charity that provides complementary therapies, supportive care and information to breast cancer patients and their families. Cancerkin was set up in 1987 as the first hospital-based, dedicated breast cancer charity in the UK, concerned with treatment, supportive care, education and research. ‘Treat the patient, not just the cancer’ is its philosophy. The name ‘Cancerkin’ reflects concern also with the well being of the patient’s family and friends and their needs are served in a variety of ways. Cancerkin is a registered charity (no. 1085517) and its services are free of charge, regardless of where the patient happens to be treated. The charity receives no statutory funding but depends entirely on voluntary support. The Centre is open Monday to Friday, 9 till 5, so please call in for more information, should you be in the area.
