The Canadian Undergraduate Biomedical Engineering Conference (CUBEC) is a not for-profit organization dedicated to promoting education, inclusion & awareness in BME industry & research among undergraduates across Canada. CUBEC started as a collaboration between the bioengineering student societies of McGill and UBC as the first large-scale event dedicated to connecting undergraduate biomedical engineering students across Canada. Over the last three years, CUBEC brought in over 800 attendees from 25 universities worldwide to listen to over 80 guest speakers, panelists, and professionals in industry and academia. Our primary goal is to educate and expose students to possible career paths in specific biomedical engineering industries and fields by bringing in various academic research groups, industry leaders, and start-up companies to highlight what they do such that these students are aware of all of the opportunities open to them. CUBEC hosts events, produces content such as podcasts, videos and articles and provides guidance to BME students nationwide.
