Campfire was founded in 2018 and started by creating software for creative writers. We offer the best writing software in the world for authors of genre fiction, particularly the genres with the most detailed worlds backing the novels that take place in them, like sci-fi & fantasy. In 2023, we turned our focus to readers, and added the tools for authors to publish—and monetize—their books and the short stories, wikis, world guides, and other extras that underpin them. We are building the best platform for reading and writing genre fiction, with the Campfire app for readers leading the way with ebooks (and soon audiobooks) and the Campfire website providing top software for writing and publishing great fiction.
