Camper helps camps, small nonprofits, and mission-driven teams clarify their story, strengthen their digital presence, and build the communications infrastructure that helps people understand, join, support, and sustain the work. Many values-driven organizations are rich in purpose but stretched thin on communications capacity. Their websites explain the basics, but not always the soul. Their job descriptions list responsibilities, but not why someone would want to join. Their newsletters share updates, but do not always build belief. Their best stories often live in conversations, staff rituals, photo folders, alumni memories, and the instincts of long-time leaders. Camper helps turn that lived knowledge into clear, useful, durable assets. I work across employer brand, recruitment storytelling, website messaging, content strategy, thought leadership, internal communications, onboarding systems, staff training materials, and practical creative operations. The goal is not to make meaningful work sound polished but hollow. The goal is to help the true thing become easier to find, understand, trust, join, and support. Camper is led by David, a communications strategist and camp person with experience across executive communications, thought leadership, recruiting and hiring narratives, content strategy, web messaging, and operational systems. His perspective is grounded in years inside camp communities, including Sanborn and Camp Augusta, and leadership experience as a program director and assistant director. Camper is for teams doing meaningful work with limited time, small staffs, and a lot of moving parts — the organizations that need clear language, useful systems, and creative support that actually understands the field.
