At Camp Manito-wish YMCA, our dedication to character and leadership development provides an enriching and life-changing experience for youth, school groups and organizations. We draw on over 100 years of heritage and tradition -- along with time-honored values of the YMCA -- to guide our Summer Camp, Outpost and Leadership programs. Our northwoods Wisconsin location -- 300 acres on 1.4 miles of Boulder Lake shoreline -- offers scenic beauty, inspiration and challenge. Program areas and activities help broaden horizons, encourage collaboration and instill leadership qualities. And experiences and opportunities grow with every year of attendance, with participants growing every step of the way. For 40 years, Camp Sunshine has provided hope, joy and community through unique experiences for children with life-threatening illnesses and their families. At our pristine campus on Sebago Lake in Maine, more than 60,000 children, siblings, parents, and caregivers from all 50 states and 27 countries have come together for fun-filled, year-round sessions with families just like theirs. And, thanks to the incredible support of donors and volunteers, our programs are 100% free. Camp Friendship is nestled in the foothills of the Blue Ridge mountains on 520 acres of rolling hills and scenic woods in central Virginia. Since 1966 Camp Friendship offers boys and girls, ages 7-16, an opportunity to experience the best summer possible. Increased self-esteem, making new friendships and gaining social competence, learning to work as part of a team, responsibility and building positive values are just some of the life skills gained from participating in Camp Friendship programs....and it's fun!
