Founded in 1988 by Paul Newman, The Hole in the Wall Gang Camp provides “a different kind of healing” to more than 25,000 seriously ill children and family members annually – all completely free of charge. For many of these children and families, Hole in the Wall provides multiple Camp experiences throughout the year at the facility in Ashford, Conn., in 40 hospitals and clinics, directly in camper homes and communities, and through other outreach activities across the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic.

The Painted Turtle is a nonprofit year-round camp for children with serious medical conditions and a member of the SeriousFun Children's Network, founded by Paul Newman. All families and campers attend camp programs free of charge. The Painted Turtle seeks to reach beyond illness, to inspire children with serious medical conditions to become their greater selves. Our mission is to provide a year-round life-changing environment for these children and their families-- one that allows children to participate in an authentic camp experience by supporting their medical needs and offers their families care, education, and respite.

For 40 years, Camp Sunshine has provided hope, joy and community through unique experiences for children with life-threatening illnesses and their families. At our pristine campus on Sebago Lake in Maine, more than 60,000 children, siblings, parents, and caregivers from all 50 states and 27 countries have come together for fun-filled, year-round sessions with families just like theirs. And, thanks to the incredible support of donors and volunteers, our programs are 100% free.
