CCF is an active network of conservation-related member organisations and institutions working at local, national and international levels based in and around Cambridge. It provides an open, dynamic platform for exchanging knowledge and developing solutions to current and emerging conservation issues. It was set up in 1998 and currently has over 50 member organisations which include international and national conservation organisations and university departments as well as numerous individuals who are individual members of the forum. Membership is open to not-for-profit organisations, and institutions, including governmental bodies, and universities involved in conservation policy, practice and research. Cambridge Conservation Forum aims to: • foster contacts between people in different organisations • broaden awareness of the exceptional pool of local expertise and activities • encourage the development of joint initiatives aimed at tackling common problems We do this by organising regular social events and by producing weekly updates and monthly newsletters. We hold seminars and discussions as well as an annual symposium and other themed events.
