The Costa Rican Chamber of Commerce was founded in 1915 by a group of national businessmen with a vision towards promoting and nurturing the free and fair trade in our country, as well as with our trade partners worldwide. In the Chamber of Commerce, we recognize that a strong private sector is fundamental to the Costa Rica's economic well-being, and that a vigorous commercial sector contributes to the country's competitiveness. The Costa Rican Chamber of Commerce is a private and non-profit business association formed by a wide range of commercial companies (exporters, importers, distributors and wholesalers) from the agriculture sector, food industry, specialized industries and services sector. The Chamber of Commerce is the longest-standing business organization in Costa Rica, and a visible and respected player on the national business and political scene. We are recognized as an energetic and proactive advocate on behalf of our members. The Costa Rican Chamber of Commerce seeks to improve the Costa Rica’s competitiveness so that local companies can compete successfully in global markets, thereby contributing to the country's comprehensive development.
